Visas

If you are traveling to the United States from abroad to attend Sea-Air-Space, please note that the United States does not require a visa for entry from every country. To see the list of 42 countries that do not require a visa, please review the visa waiver program.

If your country is one of the 42 that participate in the Visa Waver Program (VWP), citizens of these countries can travel to the US for business or tourism for stays of 90 days or less without a visa. However, you must obtain an approved Electronic System for Travel Authorization (ESTA) online before your travel.

If your country is not part of the VWP, you generally need a B-1 business visitor visa. The B-1 visa is specifically for temporary business purposes such as attending conventions, conferences, or negotiating contracts. You should not use a B-2 tourist visa for a business-related trip like a conference. Please complete a U.S. State Department Online Nonimmigration Visa Application. This online application is used by all U.S. embassies. Once you complete the online application, a confirmation will be emailed to you outlining further instructions for an appointment. U.S. immigration services recommend that you contact the U.S. embassy/consulate in your area to find out what other supporting documents you will need to take with you to your appointment.

To register and attend Sea-Air-Space if you do require a visa, first complete the registration process in full for each attendee and exhibitor requiring a letter of invitation. Once you have registered, you can obtain a letter of invitation by contacting seaairspace@navyleague.org.
